Remove unpleasant pigments to create the perfect shade for your smile with our team of experienced clinicians

Our Colour Enhancing Services

Polishing and Extrinsic Stain Removal

Our clinic uses fine polishing techniques that effectively remove stains from the outer layer of the tooth (extrinsic stains) without damaging the enamel. These techniques can delay and even prevent the recurrence of new stains when done together with proper home oral hygiene that our clinicians will guide you through.

Take Home Whitening Kit

Our take home kits contain a milder whitening gel that is safe for use at home. This is an ideal option for those who would like a more gradual change over time. It is considered as one of the more conservative options as no tooth augmentation is required. These are great for extending results from in chair whitening as well. Our kits are easy to use and we will provide instructions on the day and to take home.

In Chair Whitening

Using a more concentrated formula than our take home kits, this option only requires an hour to achieve a significant change in colour. This concentration is only available to qualified dental professionals and our clinicians will ensure that you can safely achieve the best results. The formulation we use does not require a blue light to accomplish the same as those needing a light. Whitening can often cause sensitivity during and after treatment. Multiple visits over a few months may be required for darker or more greyish colours. This is also considered a more conservative option.

Our clinicians have years of experience with producing a safe

and effective result that will enhance the colour of your smile. We will ensure that you are comfortable during the entire appointment and will alleviate any sensitivity experienced (if they occur).

Individual Tooth Whitening

This is usually for teeth without a pulp (such as after root canal) where it may have darkened overtime. It is often done on singular teeth and uses a similar formula for conventional whitening but will be placed inside the tooth. Multiple visits may be required to reach the desired shade.

Composite and Porcelain Veneers

They are often more longer lasting than whitening alone, usually lasting about 10-15years if taken care of properly. It can help with other concerns in appearance such as the tooth shape or closing minor gaps between teeth. Some tooth augmentation will be required to achieve the best result. A more consistent appearance is produced when used together with in chair or take home whitening.

We can help design beautiful veneers using optimal colours and shapes to create a natural looking smile that suits you.

Our diverse range of colour enhancing options can be used alone or in combination with our other treatments, making it easy to find a plan that fulfils your situation and preferences

Tropical Leaves

Types of Discolouration

Extrinsic ('From outside')

Stains that sit on the outer layer of the tooth. They are usually easy to remove with thorough cleaning at home or at the clinic. Pigmented foods, drinks consumed over a long time period or smoking are usually the culprit.

Examples: stains from pigmented foods like coffee or soy sauce, tobacco stains, mature plaque that hasn't been brushed away.

Intrinsic ('From inside')

Discolouration within the tooth layers. They often require more patience and energy to remove. Most cases are stains brought from outside the tooth but at times are an indication of a more serious condition.

Examples: stripes in the tooth from strong medication as a child, trauma to the tooth, highly pigmented food or drink, worn down teeth.

Our clinicians will make a thorough assessment of the type discolouration before going forward with treatment. Book in with one of our dental providers to know more about which options are suitable for your case

Maintaining Our Whiter, Brighter Smiles

Brushing correctly twice a day and cleaning between teeth at least once daily is the best way to take care of our teeth and prevent stains from returning. Limiting sugary and acidic foods will slow down the damage from plaque which can darken and damage teeth. Drinking water after every meal and snack to wash away the sugar and food debris will help too.
